A reimagined, reworked and remixed 2022 version of Down for the Count has released. 

This Anthemic Anti War, Pro Humanity song is sadly fitting for recent events that should never have started. Nothing has been learnt!

Still the same relevant song with hard hitting lyrics made even more impactful by a rock infused acoustic guitar by Ma9Na and breathy, swirling tones of Harvey Summers Hammond B3 organ. A stellar vocal performance by Gerry Murrell including a guitar solo duel with Paul Kostromin's "Hendrix" tortured guitar. Harvey Summers keyboards and synths cut through the mix like a beacon of hope. Ma9Na's Drums, Percussion and Bass create the perfect backbone for this anthemic voice of a generation.

Ma9Na’s tribute to the man, Michael Hutchence and to the group of very fine musicians that were INXS, done the Ma9Na way.  

Michael Hutchence was an Australian musician, singer-songwriter and actor. Hutchence co-founded the rock band INXS, He was the lead singer and lyricist of INXS from 1977 until his death.

SnakeHips’n’LizardLips is Ma9Na’s tribute to the man and to the group of very fine musicians that were INXS, done the Ma9Na way. 

Ma9Na was a musician in Australia, the INXS sound and especially their early songs were very much a part of Ma9Na’s career and paths crossed often throughout the 80’s, some not obvious until later in life. 

Ma9Na tells a simple story that is as much about the private man that not many knew whilst acknowledging the vibe and fun that Michael Hutchence and INXS took to the world, leaving a musical footnote in history.
